On April 25th students from South Poplar Elementary School had the opportunity to hang out at UFV for the afternoon. They enjoyed pizza lunch in the cafeteria and then headed to the Chemistry lab for demonstrations with Dr. Cory Beshara, Chemistry Department Head, with some help from Pedro Montoya-Pelaez and Aileen Ablog.
April 23rd turned out to be quite an exciting day for some students from MEI. They threw on their lab coats and took part in some chemistry experiments with Chemistry Lab Instructor, Grant Fritzke, and Lab Technician, Aileen Ablog.
Veronica Kobes began her studies at UFV in 2016 and is now in her 3rd year of her Bachelor of Science degree and she’s doing it all! Student Research Day was held on March 26th with 14 microlecture presentations and a record number of 95 posters! The event included a two-minute micro-lecture challenge, where students shared the results of their research in a fast-pace format, followed by a poster fair and research awards. Over 50 awards were handed out at the annual Fraser Valley Regional Science Fair held April 4-6.
