The SASI, in partnership with the Consulate General of India, Vancouver hosted Dr. Hardev Virk at the Sikh Heritage Museum, National Historic Site Gur Sikh Temple on September 10, 2019. The talk, titled “Guru Nanak- a Universal Prophet Without Borders” looked at the science behind Guru Nanak’s philosophy and teachings along with various stories and histories about the Guru.
Dr. Virk received his Doctorate in Nuclear Physics from Marie Curie University, Paris (France) in 1972. He has 50 years of Teaching & Research Experience and served in Punjabi University, Patiala (1965-79) and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar (1979-2002). Professor Virk has published more than 500 research papers in national & international journals of repute.
