Super Science Club continues to deliver exceptional science fun to elementary students

A huge thank you to the Super Science Club team on another successful year of fun-filled science activities for elementary school students!

IMG_0419Super Science Club is an after-school program employing UFV science students to deliver fun and intellectually stimulating science activities to elementary students in the Fraser Valley.  This year, Megan Krabbendam, Sandeep Gill, Rebecca Robertson and Ali Renwick took the program to two schools in the Valley.  Megan and Sandeep worked at Rick Hansen Secondary in Abbotsford with Grade 5 students from Rick Hansen’s feeder schools.  Rebecca and Ali worked at Vedder Elementary in Chilliwack with 30 elementary children and their families.IMG_0573

Super Science Club is a partnership with Science World and the UFV students receive training from Science World in Vancouver.  Some of this years science topics included Earthquakes, Floaters and Sinkers, Eggstraordinary Eggsperiments, Mirrors, Goo and more.

  1. Thank you for an informative blog post, Caroline. I am familiar with the Science Rocks camps held in the summer months, but I hadn’t heard of Super Science Club. What a great way to connect elementary school children to cool science topics and the university. Keep up the great work, Faculty of Science!
