Dr. Panda from Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur, India visited CICS in February to present a lecture on Role Conflict, Stress and Their Coping Strategies: An Indian Perspective. This interesting lecture focused on how the manifold roles of dual career couples create conflict situations in their family life on one hand and economic independence, liberty and development of a new identity on the other. His research compared three different cities in India-metro, urban and rural. The talk was very informative and shed light on the lives of modern families living in both urban and rural settings in India.
