Dr. Evered and his UFV team including Satwinder Bains, Director of the Centre for Indo Canadian Studies, Mr. George Peary BBA Instructor and Dr. Prabhjot Parmar, Dept of English instructor were received with warmth by the Vice Chancellor of Punjabi University Patiala Dr. Jaspal Singh and Registrar Dr A.S. Chawla. The delegation met with faculty from various departments to discuss opportunities for research collaboration on the “Home Away from Home” initiative undertaken by Punjabi University for students in the Indian Diaspora. Under this initiative Punjabi University hosts students from around the globe to learn about Punjabi culture, art and language.
