Congratulations to the UFV School of Business students’ team for winning the International Business Ethics and Sustainability Case Competition in Los Angeles, California!
This is the first time in the UFV School of Business history that a student team participating in an international competition in the United States has triumphed against some of the highest-ranking US business schools.
Thirty-seven teams from twenty-five universities across four continents participated in the competition in various divisions, including numerous highly-acclaimed universities. Even though the UFV team faced challenging competitors, including students from Pennsylvania State University, the University of Florida, Loyola Marymount University, and George Washington University, the UFV team secured first place in two out of the three categories in the undergraduate division.
Thank you to students Chad Charest, Monisha Kingra, Amandeep Rai, and Rebecca Whitmell for their hard work and dedication!
Also, thank you to Masud Khawaja, for providing the students with your guidance and experience as their faculty leader. We also appreciated Dr. Chris Schinckus, Dean of Business and Computing, Rod Hayward, former Director of the School of Business, and Dr. Carl Janzen, Director of the School of Computing, for sharing their expertise and valuable recommendations.
This achievement was an incredible moment for the School of Business, and we are grateful to the students and faculty that helped make this happen.
