Mental Illness Awareness Week on Chilliwack campus

Mental Illness Awareness Week is recognized across Canada from October 1 to October 7 2018. Coordinated by the Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health (CAMIMH), the campaign is designed to share stories in effort to educate Canadians of the experiences of mental illness.

Throughout the week you can find the UFV Canadian Nursing Student’s Association on Chilliwack campus promoting mental health resources and engaging students in wellness activities. See the schedule of events below.

Promoting campus recreation, yoga class, and fresh fruit

Indigenous mental health and Sto:Lo Health Centre (Aboriginal Gathering Place)

Wed, Oct 3
Self-care start kits for students(kits include tea, motivational quotes, chocolate, stress balls, lists of resources, etc.)

Thurs, Oct 4
Meet Digger for dog therapy. Information on substance misuse available.
