This year the accounting firms have already started their recruiting for hiring co-op students for next year’s Winter and Summer 2022 semesters. What that means is that in order to be eligible to apply for these co-op positions, you must be a registered co-op student with UFV. The closing date for these co-op applications is Thursday, May 20th, 2021.
Students who are interested in this must meet the following:
- Be eligible for the co-op program (review the attached handout)
- Have enough credits left to complete the co-op work terms and graduate on a full-time academic term (you cannot be graduating in the next 2-3 semesters)
- Agree to complete all co-op program requirements for this current summer semester which entails the following:

- Applying and completing the application form to the co-op program via Careerlink https://ufv.ca/jobs/co-operative-education/
- Attending the Co-op and Career Education Course (online format and the Live Session dates are: Monday, June 7th: 3:00PM-4:00PM, Wednesday, June 9th: 5:30PM-7:30PM and Friday, June 11th: 3:00PM to 5:00PM)
If students are interested, please have them reach out to me via e-mail no later than Thursday, May 13th, 2021. This is to ensure that I have enough time to review their resume and provide feedback for resume updates to get it up to par for the accounting recruit. It will also allow the students to be able to update their resume and application as needed by the deadline.
