Business Students Win Award at UFV Student Research Day

UFV held their first-ever virtual Student Research Day on Tuesday, March 31, drawing 189 students and 92 projects from across the institution.

A panel of 50 UFV researchers, faculty, and administrators reviewed and scored the posters online, awarding points for Quality of Scholarship, Visual Appeal, Organization, and Relevance of Research. Judging was difficult, as it is every year, because of the sheer number of high caliber projects.

31 student projects were entered from School of Business students, with topics ranging from fast fashion, to global poverty, to local tourism. Find a list of all the projects and a slideshow of the student research posters here.

Congratulations to Shan Dhaliwal, Kayla Normandeau, Navneet Kaur, Carina Banwait, and Simran Chabba on winning the Vice President, Students Award ($500 CAD) for their project entitled, “Race through the finish line with your customers”. The group’s faculty supervisor was David Dobson.
