Get Ready for Brightspace: Coming Summer 2025

UFV will be launching Brightspace in all courses for the Summer 2025 semester! We know that this is a big and exciting change, and the TLC is here to support you. TLC will host open drop-in sessions for Instructors scheduled to teach in Summer 2025 to learn Brightspace Basics.

In preparation for the Summer Semester move to Brightspace, TLC has put the following supports in place:

• Drop-in sessions:
  • Starting now – Abbotsford every Friday 1:00-2:00pm (Zoom link)
  • Starting now – TTC every Wednesday 2:30-3:30pm (Rm1071; Zoom link)
  • Starting now – CEP every Thursday 2:30 – 3:30pm (A1211; Zoom link)
• A repository of self-help (short) videos and text-based how-to guides is being created and will be ready by the end of March. These will be available on the Brightspace Tutorials page.
• A Brightspace Winter Forum will be hosted to provide instructors with an inside look at Brightspace, hear from faculty who piloted it, and discover key features they may use to enhance teaching and learning. The forum is scheduled for Wednesday March 5, 2025 from 2:30 – 4:00 pm and will be in a hyflex format (Abbotsford G124, CEP Library, and Zoom). Drop-in sessions will be available throughout the Summer semester. You can register for a Brightspace workshop here. Additional sessions are being planned from May to August and will be announced soon.
