To celebrate 50 years of excellence in teaching and mentoring, all UFV faculty and staff are invited to create a collaborative visual art piece that literally weaves together our wisdom as educators and mentors at UFV.
Using embroidery hoops as looms, we will use simple weaving techniques to create unique and beautiful pearls that include the wise teaching practices we’ve developed over the years. Don’t worry – there is no prior weaving experience required!
In May 2025, we will assemble the hoops into an art piece representing our collective brilliance.
You can participate in different ways:
- Join our monthly Craft and Commiserate Sessions, where you’ll be able to meet faculty and staff from across different the institution to chat in a relaxed atmosphere.
- Take a hoop home or back to your office and do it as a unit or individually.
- Drop by the TLC and add to our communal hoop.
