Update Winter 2021

The ASC Administrative Team would like to extend our appreciation to all faculty, staff, and students who participated in our big October events: BC’s Academic Integrity Week (Oct. 18-22) and the International Day of Action Against Contract Cheating (Oct. 20). We had a great turn out, and we look forward to planning even more activities for engagement at these events in October 2022. Anyone who would like more information or who would like to get involved in the planning should please contact the ASC Coordinator Sandra Smith at sandra.smith@ufv.ca or asc@ufv.ca

We are in the midst of our recruitment for student peer tutors in the Winter 2022 semester. Recommendations from faculty are highly valued, so we would appreciate it if you could share the following link with students you believe would be good candidates https://ufv.ca/asc/now-hiring/apply-to-be-a-peer-tutor/ That link has a job description as well as a web form to apply. Interviews are starting next week—please connect your best students with the ASC soon!

A reminder that the ASC always has online tutoring appointments available for our students. Sessions can be booked at https://am.ufv.ca/ramonline/BookAppt?C=C&T=P&D=37 We also have workshops scheduled weekly https://ufv.ca/asc/asc-workshops/ Let us know if there are any topics you would like re-scheduled for your students.

Coming up in Winter 2022—please save the dates! Procrastination Awareness Week (Mar. 7-11), a national gathering of post-secondary students and learning support specialists, and UFV’s popular Long Night Against Procrastination (Mar. 9). (Here’s what we did in 2021: https://ufv.ca/asc/paw/ )
