The Chilliwack.Tech group is proud to announce their /Next event, which will provide high school students (grades 11 & 12), university students, and anyone else interested in the industry with hands-on introductions to the fastest growing hi-tech fields. Participants will also learn more about local tech companies, start-ups, and the business side of the industry.

Hands-on learning will take shape with three 50-minute sessions in the high growth hi-tech fields of cryptocurrencies, artificial intelligence, and the internet of things. The final hour will be an explosive learning experience with eight lightning talks from industry leaders in the Fraser Valley. Topics will include software platforms, fuel cells, gaming, bootstrapping a start up, sale/exit from a company, lessons learned from entrepreneurs, and a briefing on the 2018 Start-up Hackathon.
Throughout the event participants will have a chance to network with each other and all nine presenters. The networking time will provide the chance to connect with potential team members for the Start-up Hackathon.
This event is organized by the Chilliwack.Tech community group, run by Moxie.Build, and is in partnership with Chilliwack Economic Partners Corporation, UFV’s Computing Student Association and the Sumas Regional Consortium for High Tech.
