Fisheries and Oceans Canada’s (DFO) Fraser and Interior Stock Assessment Group will begin screening applicants for their stock assessment technician inventory pools to staff next year’s field programs. They will be assessing candidates for three staffing pools:
Stock Assessment Technician – entry level
Stock Assessment Technician II – Inventory – field supervisor
Stock Assessment Technician III – Inventory – crew supervisor with data focus
The closing date for all three pools is March 31, 2026. However, DFO conducts regular “pulls” of candidates and assessments as time permits. Screening for this round is planned for December to January, so students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to be included in the upcoming assessment period.
