The Ghafourifar Lab has had quite the busy year between working in the lab, classes, travelling and presenting at conferences.
Maor Arad won the annual Undergraduate Research Excellence Award at UFV held in May this year.
Manjot Benning won the first-ever UFV Alumni Association’s Outstanding Leader award and went on to represent UFV at the London International Youth Science Forum July 26 – August 9.
Dr. Golfam Ghafourifar and her research students (pictured above): Rajan Deol, Dario Jereb, Harmanpreet Kaur, Maor Arad, Zach Nestman, Manjot Benning, and Ronald Balagtas attended/presented at the Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition held in Vancouver in June. This conference brings together students from across Canada every year.
Congratulations to Zach Nestman who won an award for honorable mention in the analytical chemistry division’s undergraduate competition. This is the third year in a row the Ghafourifar Lab has won the analytical poster presentation for undergraduate students!
