Science Rocks! Summer Camp receives funding from the Canadian Mathematical Society!

Thank you to the Canadian Mathematical Society for continuing to support our Science Rocks! Program, in particular the “Cryptography, Codes, and Crime Scenes!” Camps being held in Abbotsford and Chilliwack. This year they have generously donated $2,500 which will go a long way to help us to continue to create a fun environment for our campers to learn and explore math in a fun way.

This marks our 15th year bringing science fun to the Fraser Valley and is our first year that we have filled every single seat! We have six, 1-week camps being held at both of our Abbotsford and Chilliwack Campuses. Our Science Rocks! Team Lead Mary Ann Thomas and her team Semir Hasic, and Cole Zaniol have a great program lined up for this summer! This is a great opportunity to send your kids to university for a week and work in a real science lab and experiment with fun activities that explore the sciences. Our first camp, “Cryptography, Codes, and Crime Scenes!” starts next week. The cost of your registration includes a camp t-shirt, lunch and a full week of science fun!

If you would like to be first to receive updates on next year’s camps, please email sciencerocks@ufv.ca and request to be added to our mailing list.
