On Saturday we welcomed 24 budding scientists to our Chilliwack Campus to attend the final Science Rocks! Days camp. Campers discovered what makes a mad scientist during this jam packed STEAM day! They created a density tower, played music using a water xylophone, and even coded their very own dance moves!
We were thrilled to be able to bring these one day events to our community. It’s been a bit of a bumpy ride with the pandemic and then the flooding disaster of 2021. Thank you to all of the campers and parents for riding the roller coaster with us!
Our Science Rocks! Team Lead, Rhien Hare and her team of volunteers made sure that each camper enjoyed their time spent with us. These camps would not be possible without all of our student volunteers who spent their Saturdays making sure the kids had fun!

A huge thank you to Rhien Hare and Annabelle Czihaly for spending last summer putting these programs together and to our Science Rocks Coordinator, Dr. Robin Endelman for overseeing the program.
Although our Science Rocks! Days has come to an end, we are excited to announce that registration has opened for our week-long summer camps! Check out what’s in store for this summer and register today! https://ufv.ca/science/science-in-the-community/science-rocks/science-rocks-summer-camp/
We would like to recognize the generous grants that we have received from our sponsors:
