The profile of research in science at UFV is diverse, dynamic–and growing! This peer-reviewed and practically applicable community research is taking place in multiple faculties Science, Health Sciences, Trades and the College of Arts, and involves multiple types of modeling (molecular, climate, mathematical, population, environmental, geographic information systems), and field/ laboratory research into changing aquatic, wetlands, agro-, and forest ecosystems; and human physical and mental health. Much of the research is funded through external partners and agencies, and almost all of it involves opportunities for student research.

Join us for a tour of research laboratories, brand new greenhouse and barn facilities and projects in this second annual UFV Science Laboratory and Faculty Research Open House. This event is designed to introduce administrators, fellow faculty, and staff to the science research taking place across the institution. For 2014, the focus will be on the research facilities and projects based on the Chilliwack campus, with participation from departments in the Faculty of Science, Health Science, Trades and College of Arts
