What is NALCAP?
Operated by the Education Office of the Embassy of Spain in Ottawa, NALCAP aims to create lasting educational ties between Canada and Spain. The program invites native-like English or French speakers to collaborate with elementary and secondary schools in Spain, enhancing language programs as teaching assistants (TAs).
Your Role as a Language Assistant
As a language assistant, you become a cultural ambassador, fostering English or French language learning and mutual understanding through cultural exchange.
Program Highlights
- Placements are available across Spain, from bustling cities to charming towns.
- Assignments run from October 1st to May 31st, offering an immersive experience.
- Monthly stipend of 800 to 1000 euros, depending on the assigned region.
- Medical insurance is provided by the national or regional governments of Spain.
- Assistant teaching hours range from 14 to 16 per week, based on the assignment.
