Today is the Transgender Day of Visibility, and the CHASI team wants to take this opportunity reiterate our love and support for the trans community and our trans friends and colleagues. We also want to take this opportunity to share resources for both trans people and allies.
Trans Rights BC offers an extensive “Know Your Rights” section with information on topics like education, housing, employment, healthcare, and more. They also offer a Trans Rights Toolkit for service providers and allies to learn how to support trans people in our communities.
The University of Victoria is home to the Transgender Archives, the largest collection of it’s kind in the world, and features many online resources covering over 120 years of trans history from around the world.
Local pride organizations doing great work, such as Fraser Valley Pride, Chilliwack Pride, and UFV’s own Pride Collective.
