Canna Farms is a licensed producer of medical cannabis in Hope BC. Canna farms is looking for a focused, hardworking and motivated Human Resources Professional to join our team. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a family run business that is dedicated and focused on providing high grade cannabis, and growing and developing our business within the Canadian market.
Duties & Responsibilities will include:
- Establish, maintain and update files, databases, records, and/or other documents
- Administration of benefits paperwork
- Claims management for Disability, Worksafe claims, etc.
- Monitoring leave of absences, return to work programs and modified duties
- Provide first level advice, support and assistance on HR related matters
- Assist with preparing, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
- Assist with recruiting and selection – creating job postings, interviewing, attending career fairs, conducting phone screens & interviews
- Filing of paper and electronics records
- Customer Service back up during peak times. Helping by answering phone calls and e-mail questions and requests.
- Facilitate in corrective and/or disciplinary actions as well as conflict resolution support
- Conducting audits of payroll, benefits and other HR programs
- Formalize/implement employee handbook and continue updates
Qualifications:
- General knowledge of all areas of Human Resources
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Have a proven track record to work well independently and as a group
- Ability to work effectively with ongoing interruptions
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent command of the English language – both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and high level of pride in the accuracy of work
- Superb organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain relationships with people of various level internally and externally to the organization
- Ability to handle sensitive issues in a tactful and confidential manner
- Able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Must be able to obtain and maintain RCMP Security Clearance
Additional information:
Marketing/Computer Graphic Design/IT experience would be an asset, to help with daily posting on Social Media platforms, client e-mail blasts and in house design.
This position is a full-time.
