The University of the Fraser Valley’s initial Internationalization Goals were established and covered a period of 2017-2022. With the development of a new UFV Integrated Strategic Plan, an updated Internationalization Strategy was also planned. The goal is to have the Internationalization Strategy align with not only the Integrated Strategic Plan, but also encompass international elements through the lens of Indigenization and decolonization, the EDI Action Plan, the UNSDGs, and the BC Framework for International Education announced in the summer of 2022.
We will briefly look at the role of internationalization within the UFV context and discuss plans for development and roll out of the new strategy.
