Join us for the first session of UFV’s Scholarly Sharing Initiative, focusing on dystopias across cultures. Be uplifted by analysis! Be moved by insight! Ask your questions and share your ideas! Modern Languages professors Alan Cameron and Molleen Shilliday will speak on “Zamyatin’s We, Dystopia in the USSR” and “The Language and Purpose of Mourning in Canadian Dystopian Novels,” respectively. The Scholarly Sharing Initiative is an informal monthly gathering where faculty, students, and interested others can gather over lunch and coffee to share, discuss, present, and receive feedback on current scholarly work.
