Apples: baking for the Fall — treasures from the Newman Western Canadian Cookbook Collection

Do you have lots of apples, and need some ideas on how to cook or bake with them? Check out the latest addition to the digitized cookbooks available in UFV’s institutional repository, HarvestIR. B.C. Tree Fruits Ltd. produced the B.C. apple recipe book in 1946, in Summerland. “This booklet of tested apple recipes is presented by the fruit growers of the Okanagan, Kootenay, and Creston Valleys of British Columbia. In it are several of the old favorite recipes, many you’ll find new and interesting, and a section of new recipes using Sun-Rype apple products” (inside cover). There are many tantalizing recipes for pies, cakes and cookies for you to try.
