Maureen Berlin has been named interim Executive Director of Advancement at UFV. She will lead the Advancement team and fundraising efforts in support of innovation, infrastructure development, and growth across UFV.
Maureen has extensive experience as a fundraiser and has been an executive director in the non-profit sector for decades. She brings skill, experience, and strong network of philanthropic contacts to this role within University Relations.
Over the course of her career, she has raised over $200 million dollars for a variety of non-profits in Canada and internationally. She previously held positions with the United Nations, the International Labor Organization, the World YWCA in Geneva, the Government of Canada, the Government of Sweden, and Big Brothers Big Sisters Fraser Valley.
Prior to joining UFV in late 2017, Maureen held the position of Executive Director/Operations Manager of SARA for Women — a non-profit in the Fraser Valley with an annual operating budget of $5 million and 90 staff members.
