East vs West literary showdown — March 16

Come out and help us guess which iconic East or West Coast authors wrote famous literary passages. If authors are stumped, they get to call on the audience for help, so we need lifelines!

This interactive literary event, which will take place at the Centre for Indo-Canadian Studies on UFV’s Abbotsford campus, pits BC authors (Doretta Lau, Aaron Peck) against Ontario authors (Janette Platana, Emily Pohl-Weary) in the ultimate literary challenge.

The four writers will also do short readings that represent their respective hometowns.

Representing BC:
Doretta Lau, author of the short story collection How Does a Single Blade of Grass Thank the Sun? http://www.dorettalau.com/
Aaron Peck, author of the novel The Bewilderments of Berard Willis — http://anyofthem.tumblr.com/

Representing Ontario:
