The Chilliwack Field Naturalists have their next meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 7:30 pm in the library at Vedder middle school. Guest speaker is UFV Geography’s Dr. Jonathan Hughes, whose topic is ‘Evidence for the Holocene to Anthropocene transition in the Fraser Lowland’. He will speak generally about the Anthropocene and then provide examples of how wetland and lake sediments record recent environmental change using examples from the Fraser Lowland.
