President and Chancellor visit UFV India in Chandigarh

UFV President Joanne MacLean and Chancellor Andy Sidhu touched down in Chandigarh in early November for their first visit to UFV India. Along with their partners Maureen Murphy and Pritam Sidhu, the president and chancellor had a jam-packed agenda for their week-long visit.

While in India they visited  the Golden Temple in Amritsar, toured UFV India and met with all units, met with the SD College leadership team, hosted a dinner for UFV stakeholders and partners, and held strategic sessions with UFV India senior managers.

They also met with President Raj Kumar and senior department heads of Panjab University, Chandigarh,  to reaffirm a commitment to joint research and faculty exchange.

While in India they also met with Abbotsford Community Services’ India office (which provides pre-orientation services to new immigrants) to discuss a successful three-year partnership, student internships opportunities, and new ways to strengthen the relationship.
