Update: UFV OPEN under winter weather conditions

UFV is monitoring the weather and all campuses are OPEN under winter weather conditions.

Classes and educational activities proceeding as scheduled and are listed hereEducational activities remain primarily remote except for a limited number of courses requiring face-to-face instruction to achieve learning objectives.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement indicating 2-10 cm wet snow transitioning to rain by mid-day today Mon, Dec 6.

Please leave extra time for your commute to UFV if you have a face-to-face class and commute with care. Winter clothing recommended. Crews will clear parking lots, walkways, and entrances.

The Student Union Society Shuttle campus shuttle bus will be operating according to this schedule.

Libraries at both the Abbotsford and Chilliwack campuses will resume operations according to this schedule.

An update will be provided at 11 am at UFV.ca.

  1. Hi Dave , is it possible to provide us with an update before 10:30? My class starts at 1pm and I would like to know if classes will resume or not as conditions are bad. Please let me know !

    • Hi. Update for 11 is posted. Status unchanged. Snow turned to rain now and Environment Canada has changed statement to indicate 2-4cms of snow maximum.
