  1. Will the eveningn classes that start at 7 and 8pm also be in session ? Because it does get risky to drive during the night especially for those that are commuting from Chilliwack or Surrey becuase the roads do get slippery.

    • Hi SK, and GK
UFV intends to remain open and afternoon and evening classes will proceed. Your safety is your first priority. Recommend contacting your professor or instructor in the usual way you communicate with them to let them know if you do not feel safe commuting.

  3. For those who have poor travel conditions Like myself I hope the professors will be understanding. I can’t get off my street and can’t safely get to campus.

  4. I see that there is potential snow and freezing rain starting tomorrow (Feb 14) afternoon. Will you be monitoring conditions and forecasts for tomorrow, as you have been doing throughout this week? If we are unable to get to campus, will professors accept this as a valid excuse for missed attendance?

    • Hi Kelly,
Yes, we will be monitoring the weather, roads, forecasts, and warnings over the next few days. You are the best judge of your safety and it should be your first priority always. If you do not feel you can safely commute, contact your professors as you normally would.
