Hello! My name is Renu, and I work in Payroll—where the decimals are precise, deadlines are non-negotiable, and coffee is a core competency.
My professional journey has been shaped through hands-on experience in payroll administration, employee support, and compliance-related work. Over the years, I’ve developed a strong interest in payroll legislation, source deductions, and making sure employees are supported accurately and efficiently throughout their employment journey. To solidify this expertise, I earned my Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certification this past December—a rewarding milestone that truly tested the limits of my information absorption but was entirely worth the effort!
Balancing full-time professional growth while raising my young son has taught me resilience, patience, multitasking, and how to answer payroll emails while simultaneously negotiating snack requests from a toddler. Managing both worlds has sharpened my ability to stay exceptionally calm under pressure and multi-task with a smile.
Outside of the office, you can find me exploring the beautiful trails around British Columbia on my mountain bike, getting lost in a great book, or dancing around the living room with my son. I value kindness, continuous learning, and building positive, authentic connections. I’m incredibly excited to bring my experience to my new role at University of the Fraser Valley, and I look forward to growing my career and connecting with fellow professionals.
