I was born in Chandigarh, a city in northwestern India. In my late teens I had a chance to go live with my uncle and his family in Germany where I spent 7 years working, travelling and going to school. It was a great experience, and I learned a new language.
My background is in Computer Science, and I have worked in Analytical roles for mining companies and the public sector in BC.
BCIT was my foray into the post-secondary education world, and over the years I have developed a liking in working with systems and applications and technical challenges that are unique to this sector.
When I first moved to BC to work for the mines, I was amazed by its natural beauty and the outdoor lifestyle it offers. I never left. I love to hike and take landscape photography, and am looking forward to capturing some of the nice backdrops in Abbotsford.
