Science Cafe. Beer, Bread & Pickles: The Science of Fermentation In-Person

What do beer, bread & pickles have in common? Fermentation – one of the oldest methods of food preservation. Come listen to UFV Alumnus and Old Yale Brewmaster Nick Fengler; UFV Food & Agriculture Institute Dr. Alseandros Glaros; Rise Baking Lab Founder Mark Hart; and Culinary Arts Assistant Sian Hurley as they talk about the science of fermentation within their areas of expertise.

This event is open to everyone. Science Cafes are casual, dynamic interactions between audience and the participants. We’ll serve light refreshments and encourage participants to bring a clean mason jar for pickle samples and a reuseable coffee mug.

Join the UFV Science Café on Oct 9, 1:30–4:30 pm at the Chilliwack Campus Library to learn about fermentation with experts. Open to all! Visit ow.ly/hhAQ50TG6EH
