On April 11, we welcomed 115 projects and over 155 students from across the Fraser Valley to compete at the 31st Annual Fraser Valley Regional Science Fair. Over 55 awards were donated by our regional and provincial sponsors and handed out at our Awards Ceremony on April 19.
The grand prize was an all-expense paid trip to represent the Fraser Valley alongside Team BC at the Canada-Wide Science Fair being held in Ottawa, Ontario May 25 to June 1 to compete on the national stage! Xauni de Figueiroa from W.J. Mouat Secondary School, Justin Yu and his partner, Dennis Golubev, from R.E. Mountain Secondary School will be representing the Fraser Valley in Ottawa. Jasneet Brar, FVRSF Committee member and teacher from R.E. Mountain Secondary School will accompany our team to Nationals! We have no doubt they will represent the Fraser Valley with pride!
