We are so proud of our FVRSF Team: Xauni de Figueiroa, Justin Yu, and Dennis Golubev for representing the Fraser Valley at the Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF) held in May. Justin and Dennis brought home bronze for their project, “How successful is zinc oxide as a photocatalyst at removing C13H18O2, or Ibuprofen from wastewater, with the greatest efficiency?”
There were 48 students representing 11 regional science fairs from across BC and the Yukon. Among these talented students, 31 emerged as winners at the CWSF. The week was packed full of competition, a sightseeing tour of Ottawa including a visit to the Museum of Nature.
