Super Science Club is an after-school program for elementary students that UFV offers in collaboration with Science World. The goal of this program is to inspire children to be inquisitive about the world around them and to develop a long-term interest in science and technology. Science World provides paid training and UFV student facilitators use the Science World curriculum. For more information about the program, see http://www.scienceworld.ca/ssc.
We are looking for UFV students who……
- Have a passion for science, love working with kids, and are excited to bring these two together
- Work well in a team situation as well as on their own
- Have good organizational skills, and are able to change plans quickly and easily as needed
- Have good communication skills (you will be interacting with kids, parents, teachers, and other school administrators).
Successful applicants will be running a Super Science Club program at schools in the Fraser Valley. A program will typically run for 4-5 weeks, one afternoon per week from about 2:30 to 4:30pm. (The day of the week will depend on UFV student facilitator availability). Two students will run a club with up to 20 children.
We are looking for students with a passion for science and who love working with kids!
Pay: $17.50 per hour

Successful candidates will be required to obtain a criminal record check and attend a 4-hour training session at Science World on a weekend day.
