Hello all! Catherine here to recap LIYSF day 7! I can’t believe we are already half way through LIYSF!! It has been so much fun and we’ve learned so much! I’m so excited to see what’s in store for the last seven days!
Today Manjot and I had jet lag finally catch up on us. Throughout our trip, we have have been lucky enough to have very packed schedules which is why we’ve been having so much fun! However, the time change and busy nature had caught up so we were thankful to spend the morning resting and recouperating.
After resting, Manjot and I decided to make the most of the day and go out sightseeing and shopping. We began by getting a coffee and brunch at a nearby cafe.
We then took the tube to Oxford Street and were blown away by the beauty of the buildings! The architecture in London is so different to back home, it’s incredible to see especially seeing buildings older than Canada!
We took our time walking around admiring and popping in and out of shops. We really enjoyed getting to browse and also chat with people!
We stopped at an Indian restauraunt for a late lunch which was so delicious! At this point in the trip I’m definitely missing a home cooked meal.
We finished off our sight seeing and headed back to South Kensington to our dorm. We finished off the evening with dinner at the Tara dorms and got ready for our exciting day tomorrow!
Stay tuned for my blog tomorrrow on our scientific visits!
