March for Sustainability is just around the corner

The Office of Sustainability, Dr. Stefania Pizzirani from the School of Land Use and Environmental Change and many other colleagues from across campus have been very busy planning the second annual March for Sustainability. Throughout the month they will be hosting a series of events.

The kick off event, “Clothes the loop: Renew, Reuse, Restyle” will be led by Stefania. Dr. Renee Prasad from the Department of Agriculture Technology will be leading the Sustainable Food Event on March 29 and from Biology, Dr. Alan Reid and Dr. Sandra Gillespie will be leading the Pollinator Garden event.

International Women’s Day: ‘I am Belmaya’ (Film Screening)

In honour of International Women’s Day, come watch a screening of the film ‘I am Belmaya’, about a low-caste girl in Nepal who becomes a filmmaker. You will also have the opportunity to learn and reflect through a photovoice exhibit of female Nepalese human trafficking survivors.
