Over the past few months, the COVID-19 outbreak has impacted everyone in our community in a multitude of ways. With regards to Science Fairs, the cancellation of the School, Regional, and Canada-Wide Science Fairs meant that students who worked alone or with a partner for anywhere between 2 weeks to 11 months, no longer have a venue to share their findings with peers, experts, and the wider community. So our friends from Science Fair Foundation BC pulled together the British Columbia Virtual Science Fair (BCVSF) which strives to facilitate this connection of like-minded individuals and their ideas, to help support these students.
This virtual fair provides inquisitive students in Grades 4-12 with feedback on their work and connects them with experienced mentors via Project Interviews. Prizes and awards are available thanks to generous supporters in our community.
The Fraser Valley Regional Science Fair is happy to announce that 14 projects are participating in the BCVSF. We wish them the best of luck!
All projects will be published online for public viewing after all the Project interviews are complete by mid-June.
