Metal Buyer (Abbotsford)

Job Summary
Regional Recycling Abbotsford is looking for a full time Individual to work in a fast paced recycling warehouse. We pride ourselves with having excellent customer service, and all eligible applicants must possess great customer service skills. The ideal candidate would have some knowledge of the metal industry, with experience in non-ferrous metal purchasing, however not necessary as training will be provided.
All applicants must be able to work well independently as well as in a team environment. This is a very physical job, so all applicants must be physically able to stand for entire 8 hr shift and lift up to about 50 lbs.
We are open 7 days a week (9-5:30), and can be flexible with shifts, with at least 1 weekend day required. Extended health and benefits are offered after 3 months of full time work.
Responsibilities and Duties
Some duties include, but are not limited to:
- Distinguishing and purchasing scrap metal from customers at posted price.
- Working our computer system to input customer’s information and transaction information (training provided).
- Customer service experience required.
- Learning our electronics and appliance recycling programs and overseeing customer drop off of accepted items (training provided).
Wage: Based on Experience.
