Vivienne Beard 2016 LIYSFThe Faculty of Science is excited to announce that Vivienne Beard has been selected to represent UFV at the 58th London International Youth Science Forum this summer! She’ll be joining the world’s leading young scientists from more than 65 participating countries. For two weeks, she’ll be immersed in an international community exchanging ideas and experiences to fulfill the aim of the Science Forum “to give a greater insight into science and its application for the benefit of all mankind.”

Vivienne’s academic goals:

After graduating from UFV with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and an extended minor in Psychology, my goal is to attend Medical School. In addition to completing an MD degree, I hope to become involved in Medical research. Currently, I am very interested in cancer genomics, pharmacogenomics, and the emerging field of personalized medicine.

We have no doubt that Vivienne will represent our university with pride!
