Ashli Akins1Please join UFV Departments of History and Fashion Design along with greenSPEAK, Global Development Studies, UFV International, Centre for Sustainability and the Peru Study Tour in welcoming Ashli Akins, Founder and Director of the Canadian-Peruvian NGO Mosqoy, and Liu Scholar at the Liu Institute for Global Issues, UBC. Ashli holds a Master’s from Oxford University in international human rights law and is currently a PhD candidate at UBC in interdisciplinary studies (Anthropology & Law).

Mosqoy is an international charitable organization that works with remote communities of the Peruvian Andes to provide economic opportunities while nurturing their threatened indigenous culture.

Lisbeth Chavez Monge and Adrian Jimenez Suma, Mosqoy Student Ambassadors, will also be in attendance.
