UFV Abbotsford Theatre (B101)

5:00 p.m.

This will be a one-hour presentation followed by Q&A.

The science of nutrition is undergoing a paradigm shift. The long-held conventional wisdom that low-fat diets promote good health and reduce chronic disease has not been supported by science and is in question. Research now shows us that carbohydrates, especially sugars and refined flours, are causative agents for chronic disease and that saturated fats, long vilified, are actually beneficial.

The new science of nutrition is exploring how very low-carbohydrate, high-fat nutrition is the best for weight loss and management and can reduce and even reverse the chronic disease that most affects our populations.

If you are concerned about your diet, your weight and how these affect your likelihood of chronic diseases like cancer, heart disease, and diabetes, this presentation is for you. Please invite your family and friends as well.
