Looking Ahead: UFV’s New Housing on the Horizon
Construction is well underway for a new housing facility on the Abbotsford campus, set to open in January 2026. This fall, living in Lá:lem te Baker comes with an exciting addition: a brand-new dining hall! All new housing students will be required to purchase a meal plan, giving them access to the dining hall opening this fall semester.
“The new meal plan will provide all housing students with convenient, on-campus access to meals.” says Cameron Roy, Director of Ancillary Services. “Planned enhancements to the dining hall will allow us to expand food options, better accommodate diverse dietary needs, and strengthen food security. Students on the meal plan will benefit from these offerings every day of the week.”
Living in Lá:lem te Baker offers a host of benefits for students, including proximity to classes, campus events, and essential amenities, opportunities to connect with peers and engage in campus life, and access to the new dining hall.
