Parking and food services affected by student housing and dining hall expansion

Changes to parking and food services are coming to UFV’s Abbotsford campus as construction begins on the university’s new Student Housing and Dining Hall. Both buildings are expected to open in Fall, 2025.A map of Abbotsford campus.

Beginning in mid/late December 2023, a significant portion of the northeast section of Lot 10 will be unavailable for parking to accommodate construction of the new Student Housing. The southwest section of Lot 10 will remain open.

In an effort to maximize remaining space, new parking stall lines will be painted in Spring 2024 and the Lot 10b gravel area will be paved with painted lines. All Elder parking and parking for people with disabilities will remain unchanged.

On the other side of campus, UFV’s Cascade Cafeteria will remain closed from 3pm, Friday, December 15, 2023 through to the completion of UFV’s new Dining Hall.

Beginning in January 2024, food service will include:

  • Temporary Cascade Cafeteria (S Building, 2nd floor)
  • Spirit Bear Café (A-West)
  • Tim Horton’s (G Building)
  • Triple O’s food truck (between Building E and S)
  • Fair Grounds Coffee Shop (SUB)
