The UFV Cascades women’s soccer team travels to Edmonton, Alberta this coming Sat, Oct 25 to face the University of Alberta Pandas in the Canada West Quarterfinal playoff match. The match is scheduled to be played at Foote Field, at noon (Alberta time – 11 am PST). The Cascades lost 4-1 to the Alberta Pandas this year in regular season action in late September. UFV has a perfect 2-0 record in Canada West post-season matches at Foote Field, defeating TWU Spartans, 3-2, on penalty kicks in the CW semi-final and UBC Thunderbirds, 2-0, in the CW title match in November of 2010.
The UFV Cascades men’s and women’s basketball teams will participate this weekend in the 3rd annual Honda Way Basketball Weekend Classic at the Envision Athletic Centre. The women’s team will entertain UBC-O Heat (Kelowna, BC) and Brock University Badgers (OUA –West) while men host Langara College Falcons and Capilano University Blues (PACWEST-CCAA).
