National Occupational Safety & Health Week — Sept 21-25

National Occupational Safety & Health Week is an annual, continent-wide initiative that raises awareness about preventing workplace injuries and illnesses and promoting health and safety at work, at home, and in our communities.

At UFV, our goal is to use this week to connect, inform, and engage our campus community in creating and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Safety is a shared responsibility. By recognizing hazards, speaking up about concerns, learning from incidents, and supporting one another, we can help prevent injuries and strengthen our safety culture.

  • Department & Supervisor Training – Book a session
  • Incident, Hazard & Near-Miss Reporting – What, where, and why to report
  • Refusal of Unsafe Work – Rights and responsibilities
  • Ergonomics – Creating a safer, more comfortable workspace

Connect. Inform. Engage.
Ask questions. Share your experiences. Identify hazards. Help us build a stronger safety culture.
