Women in Trades — Trades Explorer — March 23 to June 12

SkilledTradesBC is funding a special Women in Trades – Explore Trades Sampler program at the University of the Fraser Valley!

This hands-on program is designed exclusively for women (cis- and trans-gender) aged 15+ who are interested in exploring careers in the skilled trades.

March 23–June 12, 2026
Monday–Friday | 9 am–3 pm
In-person at UFV Trades & Technology Centre (TTC), Chilliwack
Cost: $1,875
Over 12 weeks, participants will gain practical skills and explore a variety of trades, including:

  • Carpentry
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Automotive
  • Welding
  • Culinary
  • Powerline Technician (Intro)

This unique sampler gives you the opportunity to try different trades in a supportive learning environment while gaining foundational skills to help you move into foundation training or pursue an apprenticeship.

Required: Cotton coveralls and CSA-approved steel-toed boots.
