Cascades Giving Day reaches new heights—Thank you for making it possible!

Cascades Giving Day was a great success, with an impact that will take UFV student-athletes to new heights.

Thanks to the collective support of our community, a total of $86,927 was raised, with contributions from 219 generous supporters.

The funds raised during Cascades Giving Day provide essential resources for the student-athlete journey, including training, scholarships, and strength and conditioning. Donor generosity also enhances Campus Recreation programming, enabling students to thrive in recreational activities, build essential life skills, and contribute to building a strong community as future leaders.

This year, exciting challenge-based giving elements were introduced to engage family, friends, and community partners to drive participation. The collective spirit of coaches, student-athletes, alumni, UFV faculty and staff, and partners from around the globe helped unlock every challenge. This included the ‘Far and Wide Cascades Challenge,’ where the furthest donation outside of B.C. came from Melbourne, Australia, unlocking a $250 match for the men’s volleyball team. Each team had the opportunity to unlock extra funds by reaching specific donation targets, fostering friendly competition and camaraderie.

Social media saw increased engagement during Cascades Giving Day, driven by the participation of the UFV community. From sharing personal stories to promoting fundraising efforts, these posts helped raise awareness and excitement about Cascades Giving Day.

Thank you once again for your support and commitment to the UFV Athletics and Campus Recreation community.

Together, we are building a stronger future for student-athletes. We are all Cascades at heart!
