About the artist: Christopher Ross-Ewart. Christopher has worked across the US, Canada, and the world. His practice ranges from performer to composer to designer, in theatre, musical theatre, dance, film, podcasts and installation. Most recently, his notable works include The Cave presented at The Clutch as a part of a B.C tour, Hamlet-911 directed by Alisa Palmer for the Stratford Festival, and Drag Queen Pearle Harbour’s post-apocalyptic epic, Distant Early Warning.
Description: A presentation on Sound Design and Composition from Vancouver-based artist Christopher Ross-Ewart. Christopher will talk about his experience as a designer and will share his thoughts/insight into the design process and what it’s like to design for theatre. Following the talk, there will be a 3-hour masterclass workshop where attendees will participate in listening exercises, and dive into more in-depth ideas around sound and design.
